Ballenita

This large-scale mixed media painting explores memory as something layered rather than fixed. A whale carries a winged child through a dreamlike landscape where a swallow, rose, hidden portrait, handwritten text, and flowing patterns drift between visible and obscured spaces.

Built through layers of acrylic, drawing, and repeated mark-making, the surface reveals traces of its own history. Transparent washes, buried imagery, and rhythmic linework create depth, inviting the viewer to slow down and discover new details over time. Like memory itself, the painting shifts with each encounter, offering space for personal interpretation and quiet reflection.
